Pretty much whatever pops into my head. But, I primarily reimagine old solid wood furniture, use reclaimed wood and pallet wood to create new, colourful, unique items for the home and garden. In the majority of my work I employ a Yakisugi burning technique to bring out the wood’s natural grain. Throw in some colourful, water-based stain and a few coats of varnish, and you end up with a piece that’s as unique as the wood grain itself… #ReimaginedInSheffield
But, I never limit myself to just that. Being creative takes many forms, so expect to see examples of my photography, my baking (Yes! I bake!) and other non-woodworking projects, from time to time.

Silverhand Creative was born out of a necessity to survive. After having to leave a life in Australia, I returned to the UK and my home town of Sheffield, with virtually nothing. Whilst I did initially struggle to readjust to the more frenetic and uptight UK lifestyle, and struggled to find employment, it did provide the opportunity for me to start afresh.
The next year was full of courses and workshops on how to become self-employed and all that that entails. So, finally, with a bit of support and a lot of encouragement, Silverhand Creative went live on the 24th January, 2020 (Yeah, I know. Timing or what..?).
Within three months of starting up self-employed, the entire planet had ground to a halt. I managed to limp and scrape through the following two years and I used the quiet time to come up with new ideas for items to create and to learn new processes to apply to these items.
When the world finally emerged from its enforced hibernation, all efforts were made to get Silverhand Creative back up and running. So, with a little more support, encouragement, and a lot of hard work, here we are today. Now, after what feels like a lifetime of desk jobs and working for others, I’m finally working on my terms; my time, my music, my rules.
There’s still life (and fight) in this old dog yet, and I’ve more than a few crazy ideas left up my sleeve that have yet to see the light of day.
So, if you want to see what transpires, sign-up for the very, VERY occasional newsletter (I will NEVER spam you), follow Silverhand Creative on Instagram and Facebook, and/or subscribe to the YouTube channel to see how I do what I do.
I am amenable to commission work and have a web form for you to get in touch, should you be looking for something more custom.
