Welcome To The Silverhand Creative Blog
This is the first in the series of monthly blogs, I hope to put out from here on in. But, where to start..? *ponders the question* Where do I start..? I suppose I could talk a bit about me, my background and what Silverhand Creative is all about. But, isn’t that what the About Me page on this website is for? (Yes. Yes it is. Go check it out.)
What To Expect
I suppose I should explain what subjects I’ll be discussing in future blogs. Well, it could literally be anything. As a creative person, I try not to limit myself (or my creativity, for that matter) to just one specific area or medium. I love learning new information and about different creative processes. Not necessarily solely for the development of Silverhand Creative, but for my own personal development and interest too.
If I get a new tool, gadget or piece of workshop machinery (or one that I already use), then I’ll most likely let you know about my experiences using it. Whether I love it or loathe it, I’ll share what I’ve learnt so that anyone reading will be able to make an informed choice, if they’re also in the market to purchase.
There may (and probably will) be a few rants posted, too. Mainly as a way to get it all off my chest and out of my head. I do have a bit of a potty mouth, so foul language may (who am I kidding? Definitely will) crop up, now and again (Just forewarning).
eCommerce and Commissions
Silverhand Creative is my business, and as much as I’d like to do all of this solely for the betterment of society and the planet, I do have bills to pay and have a need to survive (which was why I started Silverhand Creative in the first place; Survival). I am in the process of getting an ecommerce web store up and runnig, but that could be a while off. So, please head over to the Silverhand Creative Facebook page and check out the photo album for Current Items. If you wish to purchase anything, please feel free to Contact me here, or send me an email, and we’ll get the ball rolling. Available are the majority of the pieces I have created, and I also intend (if I don’t already) sell some of the tool brands I use in my workshop. Especially, if they’re manufactured here in Sheffield, or elsewhere in the great county of Yorkshire. #MadeInSheffield #MadeInYorkshire
I am very much open to commission work. If you have something bespoke in mind, and/or have seen some of my work and wish to put your own spin on it, then you are more than welcome to message me on my socials or use the web form on the Contact page, and we’ll see what we can come up with.
Happy Endings
Now that I’ve started this blog, I’m not sure exactly how I’m supposed to bloody well finish it! I’ve not really done this kind of thing before (as you can probably tell), and this is a new process for me. But, I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it, at some point (hopefully. Maybe). So, for now I’ll just finish off by saying; thank you for reading (if you’ve actually gotten this far) and I hope you’ll pop back at some point soon.
Cheers,
C.
