UK Small Business Week 2026

I’m Part Of UK Small Business Week 2026

Just a short blog this month (if a little late) to announce that Silverhand Creative is part of UK Small Business Week 2026. This is an event organised by the Entrepreneurs Circle organisation, and that promotes small businesses all over the UK, which runs from the 1st to 7th June.

UK Small Business Week 2026 Proud Participant.
Silverhand Creative is a proud participant of UK Small Business Week 2026.

What Is UK Small Business Week 2026 About?

Rather than me paraphrasing, here’s a direct quote from Entrepreneurs Circle organisation’s website;

Small businesses are the backbone of this country. They open early. They take risks. They employ people. Pay taxes. Bring character to our communities. And yet are often fighting for their lives against soulless corporate giants.

UK Small Business Week exists to change that. Every June, we create a coordinated national moment where small businesses are made visible, valued and actively supported. This is not a promotion. It is not a sales campaign. It is a shared national effort to support our small businesses online, in-person, with our footfall and our spending.

The Struggle Is Real

As a small business owner of over six years now, I know first-hand how hard it is to stay afloat. I’ve struggled through the pandemic lockdowns, which occurred only two months after I started. Then I had to try and scrape together enough cash for tools (which I previously lost in shipping when moving back to the UK from Australia). I’ve even had to take on a part-time job to be able to pay the bills, and for the past two years I’ve been scrimping and saving to be able to afford this website and my Shopify webshop; Silverhand Store.

Getting the Silverhand Creative brand out there has been extremely difficult. Meta (Instagram and Facebook) isn’t enough, but advertising (as with everything these days) costs.

Vicious Circle

It’s the unfortunate case (and harsh reality) that you need cash to be able to put yourself out there and buy tools and stock, but you need the sales to bring in that money. If no-one knows that you exist, then how can you make those sales?

So-called “Small Business Support” organisations are only there (pretty much) for moral support and a pat on the back if you do well (which is a whole other blog). There are no real grants for pico-businesses, like Silverhand Creative, so we just have to believe in ourselves and push on through it all

Giving A Little Back

To help generate those sales, as part of UK Small Business Week 2026, I’ve created a discount code; SBW15. Enter the code at checkout to get 15% off the entire basket total. I know the Entrepreneurs Circle organisation have stated that the event is “…not a promotion…” and is “…not a sales campaign…”, but customers always need an incentive to buy from you, so here’s mine.

Hopefully, events like these will encourage people to buy local and shop from small businesses. Yes, we may be a little more expensive than the generic Chinesium imports the mega-corps sell. But, we’ve put our hearts and souls into what we do. It’s that personal touch that makes our items that little bit more valuable.

Finally, if you’re a small business owner wanting to get your brand out there, registration is completely FREE. Head over to the Entrepreneurs Circle website to get involved.
